Methodology

The Mortgage Business Awards, in conjunction with event stakeholders Mortgage Business and Momentum Media, has developed a new methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading mortgage professionals.

You will be asked to answer four simple questions by recording yourself and submitting your video to our secure awards portal. This video can be done on your phone – we don’t need green screens or top-quality cameras!

The video will be considered as part of your submission, alongside metrics from past awards programs of Momentum Media’s broker awards; those of the largest brokerage/aggregator and mortgage broker associations; the results of the Third-Party Lending Report; Broker Pulse surveys; and Momentum Intelligence’s Aggregator of Choice and Mortgage Technology surveys.

You will be asked to provide a video submission for the award categories you want to be considered for.

All entrants will be asked to submit a video answering four questions:

  1. What steps have you taken to ensure operational excellence?
  2. Provide an example of innovation in your business over the last 12 months. How has this helped?
  3. How do you ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction?
  4. What is the best example you can provide to demonstrate business growth in 2024?

Your responses will be assessed by a panel of judges.

All submissions are electronic and must be received through our secure awards platform by 5:30pm AEDT on 23 February 2024.

The awards platform is safe and secure. It’s ISO/IEC 27001 certified, compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), PCI DSS, and more. No information received via the awards process or portal is used for any reason other than for assessing the submission and is only shared with those judges who are judging each specific award.

02.

Finalists shortlisted

Submissions are delivered to a panel of judges, who assess each video submission and relevant data/metrics to select the finalists.

The number of finalists varies for each award category.

03.

Finalists announced

Finalists are contacted directly by the Momentum Media team advising that they are finalists.

Finalists are then announced publicly via Mortgage Business and the Mortgage Business Awards website. Finalists will be announced during the month of April.

All finalists will be emailed a finalist’s pack with seals and other collateral to support their marketing and other promotions associated with securing a finalist position at the Mortgage Business Awards.

04.

Submissions judged

Finalist submissions are delivered to the panel of judges, who assess each submission against the criteria of each award category.

For individual finalists, the video will make up 100% of the weighting.

For lender and technology finalists, the video will make up 30% of the weighting, with positioning in industry research and rankings making up the remainder.

The combined judging scores for each submission for each category are tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.

05.

Winners announced

One winner will be announced per award category, with the awards presented at the Mortgage Business Awards dinner.
